The Titans have been perhaps the worst team in the NFL over the past couple of seasons going an abysmal 3-14 over each of the last two years. The team has been a shipwreck since the departure of former head coach Mike Vrabel but are now in line to turn things around with the hire of new head coach Robert Saleh, #1 overall pick QB Cam Ward going into year 2, and with the hire of two former head coaches as coordinators in Brian Daboll and Gus Bradley. The team seems to be headed in the right direction from a coaching and QB standpoint, but the roster outside of the QB spot remains a huge concern. If the Titans want to turn things around, they will need their roster to be better headed into 2026. Here I will go into detail assessing the offensive line of the team heading into the 2026 season.

Set to start at left tackle for the Titans is former 4th rounder Dan Moore Jr who has underwhelmed in the NFL thus far and is likely better suited as a backup. Moore Jr in all five seasons he has played in the NFL has taken starter snaps and has graded in the below average to well below average range in terms of an overall offense grade among players at his position every single time. Moore Jr is better suited as a backup and could transition to a reserve role at some point in 2o26.

2023 first round guard Peter Skoronski is set to start at left guard for the Titans and is the bright spot in their starting lineup as of now. Skoronski as a former first rounder has shown an incredibly high ceiling in the NFL although having his inconsistencies. Skoronski had a very strong rookie season ranking in the above average range among players at his position despite being a rookie, no easy feat. Skoronski then had a sophomore slump type of season in year 2 ranking below average among players at his position. However, he then came into his own in year 3 in the NFL during the 2025 season where Pro Football Focus graded him as among the best overall guards in the NFL. Skoronski was drafted very highly and has shown a ton of promise in the NFL and most recently in 2025 he was graded as the sixth best overall guard in the NFL according to Pro Football Focus, taking over 1000 snaps in doing so. Perhaps the inconsistencies that Skoronski has shown in the NFL have been due to playing for a poor Titans’ organization and offensive infrastructure. Now that things are headed in a better direction for the Titans perhaps we could see him come into his own and establish himself as a consistently elite guard.

At center the team is set to start long time reserve Austin Schlottmann who is now transitioning to a starting role for the first time in his career. Schlottmann produced at a poor level taking reserve snaps in each of his first four seasons in the NFL before playing at a decent rate during the 2023 campaign taking reserve snaps. Schlottmann did not see the field during the 2024 season but during the 2025 season he was graded as a top ten overall player at his position taking over 350 snaps. Given his strong play last season, he has now earned himself a starting job, but it remains to be seen if he can maintain his strong play and how he will adjust to being a starter.

Set to start at right guard is 2022 4th rounder Cordell Volson who also remains a weak link as of now unfortunately and is likely better suited in a reserve role. Volson in all three seasons he has played in the NFL has graded in the below average range among players at his position. Volson missed all of the 2025 season due to injury and is coming over from the Bengals this offseason. It would not surprise me if Volson makes the transition to a reserve role at some point this season however especially with some of the talent that Tennessee has from an interior reserve offensive line standpoint heading into 2026.

Slated to start at right tackle is 2024 top 10 overall pick JC Latham who has underwhelmed in the NFL thus far although showing some improvement and promise thus far. Latham has graded in the below average range in terms of an overall offense grade among players at his position in each of his first two seasons in the NFL. Latham however did show some improvement from year 1 to year 2, especially in terms of run blocking. Latham’s progress in the NFL thus far has perhaps been stunted by playing for an anemic Titans’ organization as the Titans have been likely the worst team in the NFL in his two seasons thus far in the league. While Latham also dealt with questionable health at times in year 2 which also perhaps stunted his growth. As Latham heads into year 3 with the Titans now potentially taking a big step in the right direction, he could perhaps come into his own and live up to his incredibly high draft billing.

From a depth standpoint on the offensive front the Titans have some notable names that could loom large in serving the team as high end backups and/or potentially transitioning to a starting job. Former Raiders’ interior offensive lineman Andre James was a starter for multiple seasons and a consistently solid one in that. James had one year where he was graded as a top ten overall player at his position taking nearly 1000 starter snaps in doing so. If James is on his A game, he is potentially a very good starter who could transition to a starting role at some point given the question marks the team has in their starting lineup as of now. 2025 5th round guard Jackson Slater had a solid rookie season taking very limited snaps. While the same exact thing can be said for 2025 7th round guard Garett Dellinger as well during his rookie year.

Overall, the Titans have a good amount of talent on their offensive line, and the unit could be solid if not more than that next season, but they have far too many question marks at this point. Starting left guard Peter Skoronski projects to be a potential star, but the team has question marks everywhere else, and even Skoronski has had his pitfalls and inconsistencies. Outside of Skoronski on the interior offensive line the team has four other interior offensive linemen with potentially a high ceiling and will need at least two of them to reach their potential and step into a starting role. At tackle the team is optimistic that 2024 first rounder JC Latham can overcome the struggles of his first two seasons and now come into his own heading into year 3, However outside of Latham the cupboard is pretty much bare from a tackle standpoint for the Titans, while Latham also has big question marks associated with him as well. The Titans will likely need to acquire another player at the position, see a young unproven player step up for them, and/or see one of their talented interior offensive linemen make the transition to tackle effectively. A breakdown of the Titans’ offensive line heading into the 2026 season can be found below.

2026 Projected Titans’ Starting Offensive Line

RG – Cordell Volson – C, better suited as reserve

RT – JC Latham – C to C+ so far as 2024 1st rounder, could now come into his own
