The Packers have been consistently very good in the Jordan Love-Matt Lafleur era but have failed to take the leap into being a great team. In this era, I have always felt that the combination of Love at QB with Lafleur at head coach and the coordinators they have had have been top tier for the most part. In this era, they have had the QB and the coaching that is good enough to win a Super Bowl but their roster being very average to mediocre with regularity has been their pitfall. In order for the team to take the next step the roster will need to be better heading into 2026. Here I will go into detail assessing the offensive line personnel of the team heading into the 2026 season.

At left tackle 2024 1st rounder Jordan Morgan is set to start for Green Bay and has unfortunately underwhelmed in the NFL thus far. Morgan hardly saw the field as a rookie due to injury and looked subpar even in his limited time on the field. Morgan in year 2 playing extended snaps struggled ranking in the below average range among players at his position according to Pro Football Focus. 2025 was his essential rookie year where he had his struggles and he will now be expected to improve and live up to his high draft billing.

2021 2nd rounder Aaron Banks is set to start at left guard for Green Bay and is a player with ability, but who is inconsistent. Banks in four seasons has graded in the above average range among players at his position twice and below average twice. Banks might be better suited in a reserve role but remains the starter as of now.

At center 2022 3rd rounder Sean Rhyan is set to start for the team and is better suited in a reserve role. Rhyan has graded in the below average range among his peers in all three seasons he has played in the NFL thus far. Rhyan however showed proficiency as a run blocker during the 2025 season.

2025 2nd round rookie Anthony Belton is set to start at right guard and had his rookie struggles. Belton ranked among the worst graded guards in the sport as a rookie and will need to improve heading into year 2. Belton may be in line to transition to a reserve role if he does not improve but he will get a chance to prove himself in year 2 as such a high draft pick.

Veteran Zach Tom is set to start at right tackle for the Packers and is the bright spot on a Green Bay offensive line that is filled with question marks outside of him. Tom is not a superstar at right tackle but likely the next closest thing to being one. Tom has graded as a top ten overall player at his position for two straight seasons, which included being graded as a top five overall tackle among qualified ones in 2024. Tom provides stability to a Green Bay offensive line that otherwise lacks it.

From a reserve standpoint on the offensive line the Packers have some notable names that could loom large as they might be able to provide the team with some high-end reserve play and/or step into the starting lineup given some of the question marks that Green Bay has in their starting offensive front as of now. 2022 5th round tackle Darian Kinnard has looked strong in limited NFL snaps, while 2024 5th round interior offensive lineman Jacob Monk has looked elite in about 1-2 games worth of career snaps. Those two in particular give Green Bay strong depth on the offensive front heading into next season.

Overall, the Packers have many concerns on the offensive line heading into next season although the unit has the potential to be pretty good. The only bedrock of stability in the starting lineup is starting right tackle Zach Tom who himself is very good to great, but not a superstar. Outside of that the Packers are depending on two 1st and 2nd round picks over the past few seasons to develop as they have looked meager in the NFL thus far. While currently listed starting left guard Aaron Banks feels like perhaps a strong backup as opposed to a starter and starting center Sean Rhyan feels like a surefire backup and not a starter in all honesty. The Packers will need young/inconsistent/unproven players to improve and be on their A game and/or for maybe one or two backups to continue their strong play and perhaps step into the starting lineup. A breakdown of the Green Bay offensive line heading into next season can be found below.
