1. Chiefs

Despite a 3-3 record the Chiefs find themselves in the #1 spot as Mahomes/Reid are to be trusted far too much and their win over Detroit was far too impressive. On the defensive side of things although Kansas City ranks just outside the top ten in points allowed per game (11th), I feel as if the Chiefs’ defense is as good as any in the sport. This early in the season, the points per game ranking is certainly not indicative of a team’s total prowess on one end of the ball. They held the Ravens and Lions to 20 points or less each with Baltimore and Detroit being the top two offenses in the league last season. While for the most part, with each QB healthy, they have maintained that level of offensive play in 2025 as well. The Chiefs’ offense was the concerning point heading into this season and in the early portion of this season as well. Kansas City on offense struggled in the early portion of the 2025 season as their top two wide receivers were not on the field and their offensive line struggled. Now that one of their top two wide receivers in Xavier Worthy has returned to action and their offensive line has improved, in large part due to young players improving, they have recaptured elite offensive form. Kansas City’s defense is as good as any in the league, their offense the past three weeks has been as good as any in the league, and the Lions were the best team in the league headed into week 6 and the Chiefs beat them by multiple scores, and Mahomes/Reid are to be trusted in the postseason more than anyone at this point. Despite a 3-3 mark, the Chiefs find themselves in the top spot.

  1. Lions

Detroit was in the top spot headed into week 6 but now have fallen from 1 to 2 after a loss to the Chiefs. I still feel as if Detroit has an offense with as high of a ceiling as any in the NFL and an elite defense to go alongside with it. However, the concern with Detroit was the fact that they had rookie coordinators entering the season and that typically is not a good sign. No team has ever won a Super Bowl while having rookie coordinators and look at the collapse that the Eagles had a couple of seasons ago with two rookie coordinators. The Lions have the offense with perhaps the highest ceiling of any in the league but notice that I did not say they had the best offense. Because the offense has a rookie coordinator, it cannot be trusted to be elite with regularity. Twice already this season the offense has been a shell of its usual self on the road vs an elite defense (week 1 vs the Packers, week 6 vs the Chiefs). Detroit also cannot be fully trusted in the playoffs either as a reckless postseason performance has cost them the past two seasons in a row now.

  1. Ravens

Despite a horrid 1-5 mark, I have the Ravens as a top three team in the NFL after week 6. Lamar Jackson is set to return from injury after the bye week and with him healthy they have just as high if not a higher ceiling than any NFL team. With Lamar Jackson at the helm, the offense is likely the best in the NFL and are great in a historic context as well. The defense was the concern through the first five weeks as a usually elite defense under John Harbaugh had allowed the most points in the NFL headed into week 6. However, that all seemed to change this past week against the Rams where Baltimore had likely the best defensive performance of any NFL team during week 6. The Rams are one of the premier NFL offenses and the Ravens held them to less than 20 points. The Ravens’ defensive performance in week 6 was even more impressive because Baltimore’s offense completely stagnated without Lamar Jackson at the helm scoring only 3 points. Thus, putting the defense in undesirable spots with regularity, despite that the Ravens still held an elite Rams’ offensive attack to less than 20 points. Baltimore lost to the top two teams on this list, they outplayed and narrowly lost to another top ten team on this list in the Bills, and in addition to that they suffered multiple losses without Lamar Jackson being healthy. Although 1-5 is 1-5, and as a result one could certainly argue that they should likely be much lower, when this team is rolling on all cylinders, they are no lower than three in my estimation.

  1. Eagles

The defending champion Eagles got off to a 4-0 start but despite that they looked pretty pedestrian. Philadelphia has now lost two games in a row and many, including myself, are starting to question whether they have what it takes to repeat. The offense has looked very meager through six weeks in large part as Philadelphia currently ranks 30th in the NFL in yards per game. The roster which was the best in the NFL last season is likely still the best in the NFL this year as well. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio remains from last season, as well as head coach and starting QB Jalen Hurts being retained from a season ago as well. The only noticeable difference between this rendition of the Eagles when compared to last season’s Super Bowl winning team, is offensive coordinator Kellen Moore being replaced by a new rookie offensive coordinator in Kevin Patullo. That change in the offensive coordinator role along with Patullo being a rookie in the role has been directly correlated to the Eagles seeing a drop off thus far in 2025. The Eagles’ chances of repeating will be mostly contingent upon rookie offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo growing in the role. If Patullo was perhaps not the right hire, then the Eagles will likely not repeat this season. However, the Eagles’ struggles offensively are understandable to a certain extent as they have had to face elite defenses such as the Chiefs, Rams, Broncos, and Giants. Offensive coordinator Kellen Moore in his first season with the team in the role last season also struggled to get adjusted to things as well. Although the struggles the Eagles saw on offense in the early part of last season were not nearly as concerning as the ones they are seeing this year so far. While Kellen Moore was not a rookie offensive coordinator last year either although he was in his first season in the role with Philadelphia.

  1. Rams

The Rams stand at 4-2 with very narrow losses to very strong competition in the 49ers and Eagles. In both losses for the Rams, the Rams made some very preventable crucial errors that if they were corrected, they certainly would have won each matchup. They had a game winning very makeable 44-yard field goal blocked against the Eagles, while missing a crucial extra point vs the 49ers, along with fumbling at the 1-yard line against the 49ers as well. If the Rams did not make 2-3 very preventable and silly errors where NFL teams usually get it right the overwhelming majority of times, they would be 6-0 right now. Through six weeks the Rams are the highest graded NFL team according to Pro Football Focus with the #2 graded offense and the #2 graded defense. However, they remain at 5 and not higher because they lost this season to the Eagles who are the defending champions who possess the same record. I do not feel as if they have the explosive offensive ceiling that Detroit and Baltimore have, with those two teams also having elite caliber defenses as well. I also do not feel that any NFL team is as good as the Chiefs are right now for aforementioned reasons as well.

  1. Bills

The Bills were in a very similar boat to the Eagles as the season was set to start and in the early portion of the season as well. Each team was my pick to win their conference and make the Super Bowl and both teams got out to 4-0 starts. Despite both team’s 4-0 starts they both looked very meager to start the season. The Bills were outplayed in week 1 vs the Ravens but ended up winning because Baltimore made crucial errors at the end of that matchup. Buffalo then struggled to beat the Saints and Dolphins who possess a combined 2-10 record as of now. The Bills’ defense is mediocre by any stretch right now, ranking 17th in both points and yards allowed per game, with Pro Football Focus grading them as the #26 defense in the league. The Bills’ offense with Josh Allen is still borderline elite ranking 3rd in points per game, 4th in yards per game, and being graded as the #6 overall offense in the sport through six weeks. However, they do not seem to be in full stride offensively and it does feel as if the Bills are not surrounding Josh Allen with as much help offensively either. A 4-2 record with one of the premier offenses could certainly have the Bills higher than this. However, it just feels as if the Bills are a very good but not a great team. But given how weak the AFC is right now, they are by default a top 3-4 team in the conference and still have a very good chance of making a conference title.

  1. Bucs

The Buccaneers currently hold a 5-1 record which is tied for the best record in the NFL with the Colts. They, however, remain at 7 and not higher because they still do not possess the championship pedigree that teams ahead of them in the Chiefs, Rams, and Eagles do. With those three team’s levels of play all being on par with Tampa Bay’s this season as well. Tampa in my estimation also does not have the explosive ceiling that the Ravens and Lions have either. I considered putting the Bucs ahead of the Bills, but the Bills still feel like a definitive top 2-3 AFC team as of now, whereas it does not feel as if Tampa is in as good of a shape to win the tougher NFC. The Bucs mightily struggled to win each of their first four games against good but not great competition as well. Although Tampa Bay beat the 49ers by multiple possessions, it still feels as if the Bucs are just a good but not a great team who is squeaking out close wins with regularity. On the bright side, Baker Mayfield is an MVP candidate and being such a good team in tight matchups is absolutely something that is commendable.

  1. Colts

The Colts were my sleeper team entering the season and so far, I would be right. They have arguably the best roster in the AFC with a very underrated coaching staff in Shane Steichen on the offensive end and Lou Anarumo calling the defensive plays. Quarterback Daniel Jones is also very underrated as I felt during his time with the Giants that he was right on the same level as Dak Prescott and Jalen Hurts in the NFC East. The Colts are currently the only team in the NFL with both a top 5 scoring offense and defense and are tied for the best record in the league with the Bucs. The inexperience of the team is a reason why they are not higher, hence what happened to a surprising Vikings team last season when they made the playoffs with a former 1st rounder reclamation project QB. The lack of wins against quality opponents is also another thing that has them this low despite the previous two aforementioned facts about the team. However, their inexperience and lack of a tough schedule is not their fault and when they have had to face elite competition (Rams), they did not fold and looked just as good despite narrowly losing. They certainly could be higher than this but as of now they remain #8.

  1. 49ers

The 49ers when they have their act together with Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch are almost a lock to reach the conference championship game. They seem to have their act together this season and very well could make it that far again. On a perennial basis the 49ers in recent memory always seem to be among the most injured if not the most injured team in the NFL. That trend has unfortunately continued this season, as starting QB Brock Purdy has now missed 4 of 6 games, the receiving core for the 49ers this season has been decimated with injuries, and San Francisco has lost their top two defensive players to season ending injuries as well. Perhaps as San Francisco gets healthier they can climb this ranking, but for now they remain at #9 with a 4-2 record.

  1. Seahawks

The Seahawks are currently graded as the #2 overall team in the NFL with the #1 graded offense in the NFL as well. I do not see the definitive hole on this team but similar to the Colts they rank so relatively low because of their lack of experience. Their performance against a red-hot Jaguars team blew me away as I did not expect Seattle to dictate that game the way they did. They certainly have what it takes to climb this list and legitimately contend to win the NFC, but with it still being so early in the Sam Darnold era, they remain #10.

  1. Jaguars

Having come up just short to the #10 team on this list the Jaguars find themselves just outside the top ten. Heading into this season I felt as if Jacksonville could be a potential playoff team. I felt as if with Trevor Lawrence entering his prime with the team having hired a new young smart offensive minded head coach, that the Jaguars would be a handful offensively. I did feel that the defense would be a liability as Jacksonville had one of the weakest NFL defenses in 2024. However, the defense has been the strong suit of the team thus far in 2025 as the Jaguars rank 8th in both points per game allowed and overall defense grade according to Pro Football Focus. QB Trevor Lawrence has had his struggles this season but overall has played decently. Lawrence played exceptionally well in a huge Monday night game at home vs the #1 team on this list in the Chiefs, in a game that the Jaguars were able to steal. The Jaguars have a borderline elite defense with a young star QB and a very smart young offensive minded head coach. They have won games against two of the NFL’s elite teams in the Chiefs and 49ers as well. A disappointing week 6 performance against the Seahawks, which was perhaps more about how good Seattle was, has Jacksonville just outside the top ten.

  1. Packers

After weeks 1 and 2 many, including myself, were thinking that this Green Bay team was the best in the NFL after dominant defensive performances that culminated in multiple possession wins over the likes of Detroit and Washington. Their defense is unequivocally elite with Pro Football Focus grading them as the #3 defense in the NFL as of now. With Green Bay ranking top 5 in yards allowed per game and top 10 in points allowed per game as well. However, the offense is good but certainly not special and does indeed lack explosion. They could not put up even 30 points on a putrid Bengals’ defense and mustered only 10 points vs the Browns. Perhaps me and the media were overstating their week 1 performance against Detroit and Detroit’s poor offensive production that game was more-so due to their offensive coordinator being in his first game in the position. The Packers’ week 1 win vs the Lions can certainly be compared to the Giants beating the Eagles by three possessions. With no one stating that the Giants are a legitimate Super Bowl threat as of now. However, Green Bay is still a potentially dangerous NFC playoff team as Detroit may be the best team in the NFC as of now and the Packers may have their number. One could certainly make a strong argument that the Packers have perhaps the premier NFL defense and Jordan Love/Matt Lafleur will always have the offense be at least viable.

  1. Commanders

An argument could be made that the Commanders have maybe the premier QB in the NFC if not in the NFL in Jayden Daniels. Heading into the season despite having a mediocre roster and a questionable head coach, they were my dark horse pick to make the Super Bowl in the NFC because of the presence of Daniels. The team has had their ups and downs thus far in 2025 and has not blown me away by any stretch with Jayden Daniels missing a few starts as well. However, after a resounding three possession win against the Chargers where Washington’s defense seemed to round into elite form, I hopped on the bandwagon of the Commanders. Washington then, however, underwhelmed in a narrow home loss to the Bears. If this team were to figure things out, they still could very well win the conference, as QB Jayden Daniels may be the premier NFC QB and head coach Dan Quinn may be the premier NFC defensive head coach.

  1. Chargers

The Chargers got off to scorching 3-0 start to the season and many including myself felt that with Harbaugh in year 2 with an organization, that this team had a Super Bowl run written all over them. However, the team has really reeled the past 2-3 weeks losing to the New York Giants, losing by three possessions to the Commanders at home, and narrowly escaping a 1-win Dolphins team on the road. The team has been affected by injuries the past few weeks but in a game of injuries which is football, that cannot be an excuse. The team seems to lack juice offensively and I am beginning to doubt if Justin Herbert is truly that tier 1 caliber QB that everyone views him as. The team has failed to score 30 points all season long with Herbert not even missing a game. Although the Chargers’ defense has been good this season, it has not been as good as it was last year when they allowed the fewest points in the NFL. Despite Jim Harbaugh being perhaps the best football coach ever and QB Justin Herbert being one of the most talented QBs ever, this team feels pretty average for now.

  1. Patriots

The Patriots may be the most underrated team in the NFL and QB Drake Maye may be the most underrated QB in the NFL as well. Through six weeks, Maye is a top six rated passer in the NFL and is emerging as a star at the QB spot. Head coach Mike Vrabel has proven to be stout as a head coach and is amongst the premier defensive head coaches in the NFL. The future of New England seems to be set with those two leading the way at the head coach and QB spot. New England’s defense led by the defensive minded Vrabel currently ranks 9th in the NFL in points per game allowed and could certainly continue to improve as he gains more experience with the team. The Patriots have already beaten the Bills in Buffalo this season, and the way things are going right now, they certainly could challenge the Bills for AFC East supremacy not just this year but in years to come. I anticipate New England to continue to climb this list as the season progresses and as Maye/Vrabel continue to gain more experience together.

  1. Broncos

The Broncos have an elite defense, an elite head coach, and an elite offensive line to go along with it. I would hard pressed to find a team that is elite in as many categories as the Broncos are elite in. They possess a win over the defending champion Eagles, and their two losses were very narrow when Denver was leading late but failed to close it out vs two high caliber teams in the Colts and Chargers. I question if Bo Nix is truly a starting caliber NFL QB as Nix despite the presence of Sean Payton and an elite offensive front is below average among all starting QBs in terms of passer rating in 2025. Denver’s skill position players are also a question mark, and I feel as if they in totality are below average among all the teams as well. Nix and the skill position players that Denver possesses both being below average as of now, is why Denver is average in my power rankings for now despite being elite essentially everywhere else. If Nix or the skill position grouping can take steps forward as the season progresses, then Denver would be a scary team that I would not care to play.

  1. Cowboys

The Cowboys despite a losing record and a very disturbing loss on the road vs the Panthers are still potentially a dangerous NFC playoff team. Their track record against elite competition in 2025 ranks up there with anyone. As Dallas played Philadelphia and Green Bay and although Dallas did not win either matchup, there seemed to be no gap between Dallas and those two teams. Two teams that one could make a very strong valid argument for being the two premier NFC teams as of now. Dak Prescott is playing like an MVP and the Cowboys’ offense has been as good as any thus far in 2025, ranking 1st in yards accumulated and 3rd in points accumulated. The defense has been a shipwreck however as Dallas ranks 31st in both points and yards allowed. As new defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus who is a proven NFL defensive mind, gains more experience in the role, the Cowboys can expect to see a defensive improvement. If that were to occur with the Cowboys’ offense remaining elite, then Dallas would be a dangerous team I would not care to play.

  1. Texans

The Texans currently have the top scoring defense in the NFL by a wide margin as of now allowing over 3 points per game fewer than the #2 team in that department. The Texans through the first three games with a rookie offensive coordinator and questionable offensive personnel ranked among the worst offenses in the league, however. The past two weeks the Texans offense has seemed to find itself as Houston has put up 70 points in their past two games. Houston currently stands at 2-3 with three incredibly narrow losses that could have gone either way against high caliber opponents in the Rams, Bucs, and Jaguars as well. Since then, the Texans have looked dominant in their 70-point offensive stretch winning by a combined 60 points against the likes of the Ravens and Titans. Houston in totality has the best scoring defense in the NFL over the course of the 2025 season and has been the best offense in the NFL for their past two games. If the Texans can put it all together, they absolutely can emerge as a legitimate threat to win the AFC.

  1. Falcons

The Falcons were a sleeper Super Bowl pick of mine as the season approached as I felt that QB Michael Penix Jr was very talented and their offensive personnel was very good in addition to it. I questioned Raheem Morris as the head coach of the team as unproven defensive minded head coaches are not my cup of tea in all honesty. However, given how strong Atlanta has looked defensively this season, I am starting to buy in on Morris as a defensive head coach. QB Michael Penix Jr after struggling in weeks 1-3 has really come into his own the past couple of weeks posting a 100+ combined passer rating the past two games. The Falcons’ defense looks elite, and they stymied an explosive Bills’ offense holding them to only 14 points. The Falcons’ defense also held an electric Bucs offense to only 23 points and the Vikings led by offensive genius Kevin O’Connell could not even score double digit points on Atlanta. Take out a stinker on the road vs the Panthers where Atlanta seemingly did not show up in a 30-0 loss, and the Falcons would likely rank higher than this. The Falcons currently rank 2nd in the NFL in yards accumulated per game and 1st in the NFL in yards allowed per game. If this team puts it all together, they absolutely can be a dangerous NFC team that could vie for the conference.

  1. Giants

Entering the season the Giants were a prime candidate of mine to receive the number one overall pick when the season ended. However, since Jaxson Dart has assumed the starting QB role, they have been perhaps the pleasant surprise of the NFL. They reeled of a win vs the Super Bowl contending Chargers and then dominated the defending champion Eagles by three scores at home. The defense is led by an elite defensive front that is in the conversation for being the best in the sport and the offense is ground and pound led by the dual threat QB Dart and rookie breakout running back Cam Skattebo. Although this team may not be a Super Bowl caliber team, they certainly are a dangerous NFC team I would not want to play that will likely threaten to make the playoffs.

  1. Bears

The Bears were one of the teams that I looked forward to watching the most as the season was set to begin. As the premier offensive head coach on the market was now paired with an electric #1 overall pick QB talent headed into year 2. In week 1 vs the Vikings the team was firing on all cylinders in the first half and the combination of head coach Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams looked electric. Things unfortunately fizzled out the rest of that game in a disappointing opening week loss vs Minnesota. The team then proceeded to lose by over 30 points to the Lions the following week and the optimism surrounding the team had diminished. Chicago has now rattled off three straight wins and are beginning to emerge as a playoff threat. The only real weakness that I saw with Chicago before the season was their youth and that has certainly cost them so far as they have lacked consistency. Maybe this team is still a year or two away from being a Super Bowl contender, but they are certainly headed in the right direction winning three in a row.

  1. Dolphins

Despite a 1-5 mark the Dolphins do not rank near the bottom of the NFL in this ranking. The Chargers, Bills, and Patriots are amongst the class of the AFC and Miami played all three opponents and there was no gap between Miami and each of them despite the Dolphins going 0-3 in those matchups. 3-4 small things go differently, and Miami is 4-2 or 5-1 while being viewed as one of the premier teams in the AFC. The Dolphins in the McDaniel-Tua era are far too proven and have shown far too high of a ceiling for me to just bail on them due to a 1-5 mark because they cannot seem to win these close games. The Dolphins could still very well make the playoffs if they get hot and figure out how to win these close tight contests. The Bills are the best team in the AFC to many, and Miami traded scores with them on the road for 3.5 quarters before the Dolphins made some crucial errors. The Chargers are the 2nd best team in the AFC to many, and Miami led them with less than a minute left before the Dolphins failed to close it out.

  1. Steelers

The Steelers, despite a remarkable 4-1 record, find themselves at only 23 on this list because they have not beaten anyone of note. Their win over the Patriots was before New England with Maye/Vrabel started to come into their own. While the Steelers’ remaining wins have come against the likes of the Browns, Jets, and the Vikings with QB dysfunction. The lone time the Steelers played a high caliber opponent in Seattle, they were thoroughly outclassed at home losing by multiple scores. The Steelers, despite their record and their weak schedule, still only rank in the middle of the pack of all the major team metrics/statistics as well. Pittsburgh certainly deserves credit for their record, and they do not control the teams they play, but I do not feel as if the Steelers are even a dangerous AFC team as of now just because of a 4-1 mark. However, if Aaron Rodgers plays closer to his prime form and the defense is elite as it was in 2024, the Steelers can become a dangerous AFC playoff contender.

  1. Cardinals

The Cardinals looked impressive in week six nearly tallying a win on the road vs the one loss Colts, and this was without starting QB Kyler Murray. Arizona during last season and also headed into this season just felt like an average caliber team to me in all honesty. They felt solid but not spectacular, good but not great, likely an 8 or 9 win team that was a one and done in the playoffs at best. So far, the sentiments I shared of Arizona headed into this season continue to be true as the team always feels like a tough out that does not blow me away by any stretch. They remain at 24 and will likely be just an 8 or 9 win team at the end of the season.

  1. Vikings

The Vikings before the season started were my pick to reach the conference title against the Eagles. Despite a 3-2 record, the Vikings find themselves in the bottom ten of these rankings because their QB spot is a huge concern as of now. New starter J.J McCarthy has looked mostly awful in his time on the field thus far and for the second season in as many in his career, is missing extended time due to injury. Regardless of how good head Kevin O’Connell is and how good defensive coordinator Brian Flores is, and how much talent they have on the roster, if the QB spot is a big concern, then the team is not a legitimate NFC threat. Perhaps if McCarthy can come into his own and live up to his high draft billing or if Carson Wentz remains the starter and recaptures some of his prime form, the Vikings can skyrocket up this ranking.

  1. Panthers

The Carolina Panthers, like the Giants, were also one of the primary teams that I felt could clinch the number one overall pick when the season ended. Through two weeks I felt as if Carolina was the weakest team in the NFL and my prediction would be correct. However, the Panthers have rattled off three wins since then including a resounding 30-0 win over the Falcons and beating the Cowboys as well. Carolina struggles with consistency and is likely not a legitimate NFC playoff contender but during the past 3-4 weeks they have certainly proved that they are not a rollover and a penciled in W.

  1. Jets

Despite being the only winless team in the NFL the Jets do not find themselves even in the discussion for the last spot on this list. The Jets have consistently been in games, including against high quality opponents such as Denver, Tampa Bay, and the Steelers, losing by one possession to each team. The team is still a bottom 5-6 team and are winless for a reason and head coach Aaron Glenn if he is retained has his work cut out for him. But just like the Panthers, this team is not a rollover or a penciled in W.

  1. Saints

The Saints have been somewhat of a pleasant surprise this season with rookie head coach Kellen Moore. They were the consensus pick to many to be the weakest team in the NFL but consistently find themselves in almost every game, including against high caliber opponents such as the 49ers, Bills, and Patriots. Although this team is not a playoff contender, one certainly must bring their A game against the Saints.

  1. Browns

The Browns currently have an elite defense that one could argue is the best in the NFL, as Pro Football Focus has them graded as the best defense in the league, and they have allowed the third fewest yards in the league as well. The offense has been a shipwreck and is likely the worst offense in the NFL with Joe Flacco previously at the helm and now rookie Dillon Gabriel commanding the ship. Perhaps if the team switches to rookie Shedeur Sanders or veteran Deshaun Watson they can find some juice offensively to complement their elite defense and shoot up this ranking.

  1. Bengals

Jake Browning in a previous season when Burrow was out for the year looked very strong at the helm and in the first week with Burrow out, Browning continued his strong play. As he led Cincinnati to 30+ points against a very good Jaguars defense in a game that the Bengals won. However, everything seemed to fall apart for Browning and the Bengals the next two weeks as Cincinnati suffered two blowout losses with the offense accounting for only 13 combined points as Browning threw several interceptions. Things got slightly better the following week in still a multiple possession loss to the Lions. After a very rough three week stretch without Joe Burrow, the Bengals made a trade for veteran Joe Flacco. Although Flacco did not make the mistakes that Browning made, the offense still lacked any juice in a multiple possession loss to the Packers in the first start for Flacco. Perhaps as Flacco gains more experience with the Bengals, Cincinnati can start to win games to pave the way for a potential Burrow return from injury late in the season.

  1. Raiders

The Raiders have been one of the diss appointments in the NFL thus far in 2025. A team that I thought could be a dangerous AFC playoff team which could also be the team that paves the way for the Raiders to finally turn things around as a franchise, is again one of the worst teams in the league. Geno Smith is having an awful season throwing interception after interception but perhaps as Smith adjusts to life as a Raider, he can turn things around. Las Vegas still can threaten to make the playoffs if they put it all together, it has just been a big adjustment with a new head coach, a new offensive coordinator, and a new starting QB.

  1. Titans

The Titans were the weakest team in the NFL during the 2024 season and secured the number one overall pick as a result. After firing their head coach before even the halfway mark of the season, they are clearly the weakest team in the league as of now as well. The Titans found themselves in tight games late vs high caliber opponents in the Broncos and Rams early in the season but have since suffered multiple blowout losses. The roster has some talent, and QB Cam Ward was taken #1 overall for a reason, however. Perhaps if the Titans can build off the strong form that they had in the early portion of the year and if rookie Cam Ward starts to come into his own, they can climb out of the last spot.
