The Ravens heading into another year with Lamar Jackson set to start for the team has now deployed him with a new offensive coordinator in Declan Doyle who is considered a young genius who was able to land an offensive coordinator job at the age of 29, something that only the likes of Sean McVay has done. The personnel that Jackson is surrounded by on offense will loom large for the success of the Ravens’ offense in 2025. Here I will go into detail assessing the offensive line of the team heading into the 2026 season.
Set to start at left tackle is former first round pick veteran Ronnie Stanley who is a strong player at the position. Stanley in nine seasons in the NFL where he logged substantial snaps has graded below average only once and only slightly so. Stanley’s first five seasons in the NFL were electric as he was among the better and at times among the best offensive lineman in the sport. However, after Stanley suffered a season ending injury in 2021, he has never been quite the same since. Stanley in the four seasons since suffering that injury has graded slightly above average three times and below average another which was the one and only time he has graded below average according to Pro Football Focus. Before the injury Stanley consistently graded well above average and even as one of the premier offensive lineman in the sport one occasion, while never grading below average. Stanley however remains a solid but not spectacular starting left tackle, but who could provide the team with elite play if need be.
Set to start left guard is 2026 1st rounder Olaivavega Ioane, Ioane was taken in the first round and clearly has talent but is totally unproven and will likely see his rookie growing pains. Ioane in all likelihood will rank below average among players at his position for the 2026 season in totality. However, if the Ravens hit on him as a draft pick perhaps he could capture some of his prime form late into the season and heading into the playoffs. At that point the Ravens could have a very strong starting left guard heading into a potential postseason run.
The starting center is one of concern for the Ravens as they have a very unproven undrafted free agent in line to start for them as of now as star veteran Tyler Linderbaum departed the team this offseason. 2024 undrafted free agent Corey Bullock has logged 13 snaps for his career and looked meager even in his limited time on the field but is still listed as the starter. Perhaps offensive coordinator Declan Doyle and head coach Jesse Minter see something in Bullock to list him as the starter, but Bullock remains a prime candidate to transition to a reserve role as the Ravens do have a few capable reserve interior offensive lineman and perhaps Baltimore could still make a trade and/or sign a free agent to fill this void.
At right guard veteran John Simpson is set to start for Baltimore and is also a question mark and likely better suited in a reserve role. Simpson in six seasons in the NFL has graded in the above average range among players at his position only once, although he looked borderline elite on that one occasion. Simpson with a very high ceiling but lacking consistency is likely better suited as a reserve as the Ravens do not know what they will get from him.
Set to start at right tackle is 2024 2nd rounder Roger Rosengarten who is the bright spot on the Ravens’ offensive line, but who still has question marks associated with him which goes to show you how subpar the Ravens’ offensive line is as of now. Rosengarten as a 2nd round pick was drafted very highly and had a solid rookie season. Rosengarten improved in year 2 but was still good but not great. Ranking above average but not well above average or elite across the board.
From a depth standpoint on the offensive line the Ravens have some notable names that could transition to a starting role and/or provide the team with some depth. 2025 third rounder guard Emery Jones Jr looked decent as a rookie and is in line to become a solid NFL player given his high draft selection and solid rookie year. Veteran interior offensive lineman Danny Pinter has a very high ceiling although lacking consistency. Pinter has graded above average among players at his position in two of his five seasons in the NFL and during those two seasons he was actually graded in the well above average range. Pinter is a high-end backup as of now who could potentially transition to a starting role given the need that the Ravens have in their starting offensive line. 2025 5th round tackle Carson Vinson looked very good in just seven rookie snaps but looked strong nonetheless and is in line to improve off of it heading into year 2. Guard Jovaughn Gwyn has looked elite in 11 career snaps and although that is hardly a sample size it is still something.
A breakdown of the Ravens’ highly suspect offensive line can be found below as I feel the unit is one of the weakest in the NFL as of now.
